Projects Overview
Projects are a way to organize your chats into folder-like groups. They help you keep related conversations together and configure shared settings across all chats in a project.
What are Projects?
Projects let you:
- Group your chats into organized collections
- Configure shared settings like models, system prompts, and temperature across all chats in a project
- Access memory from other chats in the same project, so Bearly learns to be more useful over time
- Coming soon: Share document collections and other resources across chats in a project
Common Use Cases
Projects are perfect for organizing your work in many ways:
- Work vs Personal: Keep your work chats separate from personal conversations
- Topic-focused: Create projects for specific subjects like “AI Research”, “Stock Analysis”, or “Family Vacation Planning”
- Brand or Project Work: Organize chats around specific products, clients, or campaigns like “Product Branding” or “Marketing Campaign”
- Shared Resources: When you want to share document collections or settings across multiple related chats
Getting Started with Projects
Creating a New Project
- Select “New Project” from the sidebar
- Give your project a descriptive name and press Enter
Adding Chats to Projects
Once you’ve created a project, you can organize your chats by dragging and dropping:
To add a chat to a project:
- Drag any chat from your main chat list into the project folder
To remove a chat from a project:
- Drag the chat out of the project folder back to the main chat list
Project Memory
One of the most powerful features of projects is shared memory. When chats are in the same project, Bearly can access information from your previous conversations in that project. This means:
- Bearly remembers context from earlier chats in the project
- You don’t need to repeat information across related conversations
- The AI becomes more helpful and personalized over time within each project
Next Steps
Once you have your chats organized into projects, you can configure project-wide settings to customize how Bearly behaves for different types of work. Learn more about Project Settings.
