To configure your project settings:

  1. Open any project in your sidebar
  2. Click on the project name or settings icon
  3. Navigate to the “Settings” section

Project Settings Page

Available Settings

Model Selection

Choose which AI model all chats in this project should use by default. You can:

  • Select from available models like Claude, GPT-4, or other supported models
  • Lock the model selection so users can’t change it for individual chats
  • Leave it unlocked to allow per-chat customization

Language Settings

Set the default language for all chats in the project:

  • Choose from supported languages
  • Lock the language to ensure consistency
  • Allow individual chats to override if needed

Temperature Control

Temperature controls how creative or focused the AI responses will be:

  • Lower values (0.0-0.7): More focused, factual, and consistent responses
  • Medium values (0.8-1.2): Balanced creativity and accuracy
  • Higher values (1.3-2.0): More creative and varied responses

The temperature slider includes preset options:

  • Factual (0.5): Best for research, analysis, and technical work
  • Default (1.0): Good balance for most conversations
  • Creative (1.5): Better for brainstorming and creative tasks

System Prompt

Configure a custom system prompt that applies to all chats in the project:

  • Set specific instructions for how Bearly should behave
  • Include context about your work, preferences, or requirements
  • Lock the system prompt to maintain consistency across the project

Lock Controls

Each setting includes a lock/unlock toggle that determines whether individual chats can override the project setting:

  • Locked (🔒): All chats in the project must use the project setting
  • Unlocked (🔓): Individual chats can override the project setting
