What private AI means in Bearly
Chats and files are encrypted
Every chat and file is individually encrypted. Password protection adds a separate lock for projects that need it.
You choose the context
Select the model, review attached files, turn personalization off, and limit memories to the current project or disable them for a chat.
What leaves your device
Your message, relevant conversation context, and anything you attach can be sent to the AI model handling your request. A feature may need more information to do its job; for example, Computer Use may share a screen image after you approve access.
Before sending sensitive work, check the selected model and files, remove context the task does not need, and read permission requests before allowing access. That is a more useful privacy promise than pretending a cloud model never receives a prompt.

Does Bearly train on my chats?
No. Bearly does not use your conversations, documents, or files to train models.
Does the selected AI model receive my request?
Yes. Your message, relevant conversation context, and attachments can be sent to the AI model handling your request. Review the selected model and attached files before sending sensitive work.
Can I turn AI memory off?
Yes. Memories can be disabled for a chat or limited to the current project. Personalization can also be turned off in Chat Settings.
Can Bearly recover a password-protected project?
No. If you forget the project password, Bearly cannot recover that protected project or its data.
